1. The Sniffles Arrive
One morning in the Jungle of Joy, Rory the Reindeer wakes up with the sniffles. 'Achoo! Achoo!' he sneezes. His nose is runny and his eyes are watery. 'Oh no,' says Gigi the Giraffe. 'Rory doesn't feel well!' All the friends gather around, worried about their kind friend.
2. Dr. Sunny Investigates
Dr. Sunny shines down and asks, 'Rory, did you wash your hands before eating yesterday?' Rory thinks hard. 'Um... I don't remember.' Dr. Sunny nods wisely. 'Germs are tiny, invisible creatures that can make us sick. But there's a magic trick to keep them away—washing your hands!'
3. The Hand-Washing Lesson
Dr. Sunny teaches everyone the proper way to wash hands: 'Wet your hands with clean water. Use soap and scrub for 20 seconds—that's as long as singing Happy Birthday twice! Wash between your fingers, under your nails, and the backs of your hands. Then rinse and dry!' All the animals practice together, making it a fun game.
4. When to Wash
Gigi asks, 'When should we wash our hands?' Dr. Sunny lists: 'Before eating or cooking, after using the bathroom, after playing outside, after touching animals, and after coughing or sneezing!' Leo adds, 'And after the Big Jungle Race!' Everyone laughs and agrees—clean hands keep everyone safe.
5. Healthy Jungle, Happy Friends
A few days later, Rory feels much better! 'Thank you, friends, for teaching me about hand-washing,' he says with a big smile. Now all the animals wash their hands together before every meal. They sing songs, make bubbles, and keep the Jungle of Joy healthy and happy. 'Clean hands, healthy friends!' they cheer together.
